little drops of heaven
I'm currently soaking my feet in hot water as I'm typing this. The little pleasures of life cannot be overlooked.
My feet in a tub of water brings me back to my childhood days, where winter months would relegate to showering every other day, and on the days I'm not showering, my great-grandmother would wash my feet in a plastic basin.
I would always complain that the water was too hot, not knowing it was because my feet were always cold. I would squeal and whine, but without fail, they'd force me to dunk my feet.
Odd, because today, I am soaking them because my feet are cold, and the warmth from the slightly too-hot water feels pretty dang good.
Sort of makes me want to pee too. Hmmm....
....I think I already told that story, but nyah!

quake all version
I'm doing it again.
Whenever I get an electronic gadget that has easy access to downloadable content, I spend hours trying to hoard every application that is available for it.
The trend continues with the N95. Granted, I don't download everything available, but I do try to grab anything remotely interesting to me, and then?
I leave it on my computer. I may put it in different directories based on category, but I don't even try it out. I just let it sit there, taking up space.
I don't know why I do it, but I do.
....and it's quite a waste of my time.

I watched "Ip Man" last Saturday night, and it was good.
It's the story of "Ip Man", Bruce Lee's first master, who taught him wing chun.
I showed it to other people on Sunday, and they all said, "Hey, tow that's real martial arts."
Now, I said the same thing the night before, but now that I think about it, what is "real martial arts?"
Why is it called an art anyway? When was the last time a painter got hurt doing a landscape? When was the last time a sculpter got battered up from molding clay? Accidental injuries aside.
When you look at it, it's all choreographed action sequences. Nobody really fights like that. No one sticks out a punch for extended periods of time for someone else to brush it aside and then pummel you endlessly.
Mixed martial arts has changed all that. If you want to see some "real" yet organized fighting, you only need to order any UFC pay per view. Fighting is messy, a lot of the time it ends up on the ground in one form or another.
My point is, we all know "real Kung Fu" when we see it on-screen, but I can't define what "real" is?
Maybe, just maybe, it means nothing. That real Kung Fu is well-timed sequences of body movements that looks great in the theatres, but impractical. It's more Arts than martial.
....I don't know what I'm saying either.

riddle me blahs
So get this. After I buy my Xbox360, download SSF2THDR, and pay for a year of online subscription, I learn about GGPO.
Basically it's an emulator that will alone online gameplay. That means I could be playing SSF2T for free!
Well I mean, not "free". I have to buy an arcade PCB of SSF2T, and then extract the roms onto my PC. But I mean, if I had the roms to the game, I could use the emulator to play it, over the net.
I have the Xbox 360 joystick plugged in too.... seems to work. Haven't tried actual online gaming yet though.
....HD Remix is a lot more fun though, and looks better too.

Okay, I give up. I'm too addicted to Street Fighter.
I just spent 2 days at work reading a thread of 26 pages worth of why Akuma should be banned in HD Remix. And the scary thing? I care. I really do.
In fact, I'm dying to try out some Akuma loving fights when I get back home, like, I don't want to do anything else. I just want to play the game.
And the truly sad thing is, I just want to try the game in practice mode. Oh my gosh, I really have lost it.

a day too late, a dollar too short (+inflation)
I'm always a month too late for Christmas cheer. I found myself humming Christmas music five minutes ago, and enjoying it.
....I didn't say I make a lot of sense.

blotty blue buzz
It's true, I've been playing Street Fighter II HD Remix way too much.
I get really angry when I lose, mostly because I know I can play better than the joypad allows. My stupid hands refuses to cooperate sometimes, and I spazz out. I want to do a move, but my hands won't allow me. That's how a washed up hockey player feels like I bet.
I'm getting better, but I'm also getting worse. I just can't play those boring fireball characters. Worst for me are the turtlers, Guile and Dee-Jay. I just don't find any joy in using them.
Anyway, I should wean myself from playing too much. I'm already wasting so much time doing nothing else.
Oh, I tried P90x finally. I only tried the stretching class, but I can't believe how quickly an hour goes by, especially when I can't even touch my toes.
....But I have to admit, I felt so much looser afterward.
